Thank you for visiting the Dead Drift Fly Shop website. We are a full service fly shop based out of southern Missouri and the ONLY fly shop located on the North Fork of the White River, which is listed by trout unlimited as one of the top 100 trout streams in the United States. At Dead Drift Fly Shop we will set you up with the flies, tippet, weight and indicators that are used on the North Fork of the White. You will notice a limited number of types and sizes of flies in our shop. This is because we are tailored to this river and this river only. The professionals here fish the NFoW year round, and with the advice I have recieved over the years, I have set up this shop to make it quick and simple to get geared up for a successful day on this challenging fishery. The reason behind our shop is to give fly fisherman on the North Fork some gear options that are suitable for THIS river. Nymphs are king on the North Fork. Big stones, big princes... stuff with weight to get you down through the fast water to where the fish are feeding. In addition to fishing tackle we also stock a limited supply of fly tying materials and accessories so you can duplicate the patterns that have been most successful on this river. Bring your vise and we will show you our favorite patterns and give you tips on how to tie them. If you break a rod or reel on the river we also offer Redington rods and reels available for purchase or rent, as well as waders and wading boots.
